May's Creatives + Cocktails event will be held at AS220's FOO(D) restaurant and bar on Wednesday, May 26th. Located in the heart of the creative capital, you can be sure to meet a variety of creative-minded people from around the area. The event starts at 5:45 and goes until 8pm, but feel free to show up early and stay late!

If you haven't been to AS220 yet, you're in for a treat. Check out their website to lean a bit more about everything they do (which is, in fact, everything).

We've just returned from a trip down to the IDSA NED conference titled co-create. We got to see a lot of great presentations; some inspiring, some informative.



The conference was sponsored by a group of interesting companies, including one local one!



We had the opportunity to see Laurie Pressman present Pantone's color picks for Fall 2010 and insight into Spring 2011. Laurie, vice president, did a great job of bringing the audience through the process of picking the upcoming colors.



The presentation by Sesame Street was wonderful, showing how their brand identity carries through every aspect of the company.

A [former] designer from Converse spoke about the history of a brand, followed by a great talk by Ben Hopson about the importance of maintaining the aesthetics through to the mechanical aspects of your design.



We all want to give a big thanks to Humanscale for opening their doors [a half hour early] to us Friday night. And, to SmartDesign for hosting Saturday nights gala.
